SUBJECT - THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD - PART 2
PLEASE PRAY THE SPIRIT OF GOD WILL REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU AS YOU READ OR LISTEN.
When the prophet ISAIAH saw 'The Lord' it had a huge impact on him, or even unhinged him, making him cry out - "Woe to me!
I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”.
Holiness is hard to bear for an unholy being, which to a large extent explains why we are one this Earth, and why God is not
immediately visible in the domain where we now live. And why God made any additional revelation of himself contingent on us
seeking him, not because he wants to withhold himself, but because it is not in his nature to impose himself on anyone against their will.
Part of what so much overawed the prophet Isaiah was not just his view of 'The Lord', but also the train that followed him in the
temple. That train is made up of the Seven Spirits of God.
There are many things in heaven that await us, for which we only have a minimal understanding in the Earth. They are described to us in terms
we can understand intellectually, but that is far from actually experiencing them. However, all of us that are heaven bound are destined
for this.
I my mid twenties I had a glimpse of Heaven and the New Jerusalem which was more an experience than something I learned. I was led
to experience something of the immense comfort of that place, and God gave it to me because at the time I desperately need it.
Beyond that I was also given a song about the city and River of Life that flows in Heaven, celebrating them, which always evokes for me the
memory of that experience. Beyond the experience I had these were other things I was told about and didn't experience. The reason for that is if we ever
experience these things we will never want to come back here. If we ever enter the river of life, or taste the fruit of heaven, or see the face of the Lord,
there will be no looking back for us and we will be gone from the Earth.
Once a person comes to glimpse God it seems they will forever have a yearing to return to that experience.
That is, provided they have cleansing from sin because God is Holy and those that are not cannot bear the exposure. For Isaiah he became
instantly aware of the foul words he had spoken and that is why he found God's image initially so unbearable. But an angel came and cleased his
mouth with hot coals, after which he was able to see God.
For us the cleansing we have is of Jesus, our high priest and sacrifice, which makes it all the more remarkable that the fullness of that
sacrifice appears right here in this view that Isaiah had of the SEVEN SPIRITS.
One thing that is remarkable is how every minute detail of what Isaiah wrote has meaning. We must give the credit for that to
God rather than the prophet because he wrote by inspiration of the very Spirit he was seeing and through this God was giving us
an understanding of something we can only fully experience in Heaven.
When Isaiah lists the Seven Spirits of God, the first is the Spirit of
THE LORD. But it is written in a way that suggests all the
others of the seven spirits are within him, as if The Lord is the paretheses of the other six. Or as if he has a cloak and he wraps
the others up in it.
This is revealing the truth that God is ONE BEING, not many, despite his 'multi-form', so we always see them together forming the one
we know and love as
The Holy Spirit.
Therefore, when God approaches us by his Spirit, all of the seven always come together. However, one of them will take the lead depending on
what God's purpose is in approaching us. Often the lead is taken by the Spirit of Counsel, as he is most often the closest to us, but
he will often then bring one of the others to the fore according to his purpose at the time.
For example God may come to us with the Spirt of Wisdom leading the way, to reveal something of his wisdom to us. Or he may come with the
Spirit of Power leading the way so he can heal us, or maybe to change our circumstances in some way. The spirit of Cousel may stay near to
befriend and comfort us. The Lord may come near to show us his authority, or to show his authority through us. The spirit of Knowledge may
also come to comfort us as she knows us intimately and loves all that we are.
They may even approach with a pair of them in the fore, or any combination, which means there are a myriad of possibilities with God in
the way he may interacts with us.
We also have the freedom and the invitation to draw near to God in any way we choose. He is wholly accessible to us and ready to receive us
as we approach him.
To put it in a nutshell - God can be shear adventure.
Many have realised quality of life depends so much on our relationships. With God we have the ultimate possibility for that as he is a unique
and glorious being that loves us beyond comprehension. His word to us is COME! He is always ready to receive us.
This is where I must use graphics and abstract images to demonstrate these truths, but please understand this is only a tiny glimpse
into who God is. Having said that, if the Holy Spirit is leading you to read this then he will be about to reveal himself to you in
some way, perhaps even as much as you can take at this point, like Isaiah. But don't mistake the abstraction of my graphics to be
something that gets close to what awaits you in the full experience of heaven. All it can do is prepare you for what is yet to come.
THE TRAIN OF HIS ROBE FILLS THE TEMPLE
When the prophet ISAIAH sees the Seven Spirits in the train of THE LORD in the temple, he lists them as he saw them in a specific order,
and a specific POSTURE.
Every word of his text in the scriptures is inspired by the Holy Spirt, and every detail carries meaning about himself.
Here they are seen in procession, displaying their immense glory to all that observe them. No royal display on Earth ever came close to
this, but it was at best a very faint reflection of the truth of heaven.
This is not a show that any creature in God's universe wants to miss,
though many will because of sin and corruption. To approach we need the blood of Christ to robe us because all self-righteousness will
more than ever be seen to be filthy rags and unable to stand in his presence.
In the next POSTURE we find the focus moves to the Lamb of God. The Lamb of God that was slain lies wholly within the Spirit of THE FEAR OF THE LORD.
From the beginning of creation the Spirit of Wisdom and the Spirit of Understanding between them made the plan of creation. This was their deepest hearts desire.
But there was s problem. There must be a LAMB. They took the plan to THE LORD, but the cost was so high they wept. Yet for the joy set before them, though the
price was high, they would have sons and daughters - they could not refuse it.
They took the plan to the Spirit of THE FEAR OF THE LORD, and he too wept, but he said he would go. He must go. For all of the seven spirit and the Lord he must go.
The final decision rested with the Lord, and he made it. The Spirit of THE FEAR OF THE LORD would become the slain Lamb for all of eternity that they may have
their desire of sons and daughters that would be loved and cherished beyond description for all eternity to come.
DELIGHT IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD
After the Seven Spirits of God are listed by Isaiah, he says - 'And they delight in the
Fear Of The Lord'.
Once again this shows us the SEVEN SPIRITS of GOD in another POSTURE that also has great meaning, and by it the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD leads us into a deep
revelation of himself, and how he appears to the inhabitants of heaven who behold him.
The Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world. The price was paid by the Spirit of The Fear of The Lord, who was eternally scarred, that salvation
would come to all of God's children. In that suffering the other spirits of God comforted him, and delighted in what he had done.
God is truly a mysterious being. Within him is seen the full fellowship of unbounded love, as the Spirits of God love each other. Those that see it are
forever changed and forever established. And we are invited into that abiding fellowship and unity for all eternity to come.
Oh Gentle Lion
Oh Lamb That Roars
Oh My God, I Stand In Awe
My God, My God, I Need You More
