ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was born in July 1960 in the village of Edwinstowe in North Nottinghamshire, England; a former coal mining village
close to the local mine, Thoresby Colliery. When I left school and began a career I entered the mining
industry and spent 10 years, first as a craft mechanical apprentice, and then training and educating to become an
engineering manager in the mines, completing a B.Sc.(Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering where I also
discovered a passion for mathematics, and computer software development that I would later turn into a career.
They were tough years, but in that time God taught me many unforgettable lessons
of life and how things are in the world. In recent years I have written my memoirs of those days, if for no other
reason, to give the benefit of my experience to the new generation that know little of what it was like now the mines
have closed (The Memoirs of a Sherwood Miner - Amazon UK).
When I finally left the industry in 1988 I moved
into engineering software development which is something I have done professionally for a long time, mostly working
freelance so it gave me the freedom to work for God, but also sometimes taking jobs and contracts as the opportunities
came up. I am the owner of software that is used globally in certain engineering industries. More recently I was led
to focus more completely on writing Christian books, which I give away at not cost, and engaging in evangelism in the world as God leads me.
My parents founded and led a Pentecostal church in the nearby village of New Ollerton where we moved and lived from
age 13, returning to Edwinstowe later when I left home. I had heard and accepted the gospel of salvation from a young
age, but later needed to overcome the challenges of youth and I returned to Christ not long after I entered the mining
industry. From that time I was totally committed and dived headlong into working out my faith. However, as is true for
many, I had to work my way through many things I had grown up with that I now broadly categorise under the term 'religion'.
In time that led to some real epiphany moments that led me out of religion and into real relationship with God. Not that
I hadn't had this all along, but it was to some degree hindered by those religious barriers until I grew up in my faith
and overcame them, as God led me through to maturity in my faith.
I took many roles in church during my years - prayer/intercession, youth leader, homegroups, evangelism etc. - but after
some time those realisations I spoke of led me to some exciting times where I began to explore the power of God in the
form of healings and miracles which we did on the streets of Nottingham. That is an ongoing form of evangelism I have
engaged in ever since in a number of UK cities, including London, and it is perhaps the place where I find God more than
ever unleashes his grace and love through me to others in evangelism.
When I was nearing age 50, in 2010, God began to lead me in a new direction, which was to begin to write. Until that time
I had felt restrained from doing that, but the time came when God's direction led me to use the literary skills I had
developed over my career. The first book I wrote - God's Plan for the Ages - is more or less a download of
my faith to the point it had developed over the years. It was intended to be 'strong meat', rather than 'milk', and so
contains many challenging thoughts, but it is a book that expresses some of the deepest beliefs I bear in my spirit that
underpin my faith and my relationship to my wonderful and glorious God.
Over the years there were many seasons where God led me and taught me many things. Because of my early experience
of 'religion' and the problems that caused, I was led to examine the whole concept of 'church' and the way we conduct
ourselves when we come to meet together. Over time God helped me get to the bottom of the issues I had there on the way
we do church, and eventually directed me to write a book defining what church was originally, and what he intends it to
be again before this age is done. It is titled - The Original Church to Come - released in 2018, and it
is published free online or a hard copy can be purchased at low cost from Amazon UK.
Once I had finished writing the book on church I asked God how he would want me to promote and authenticate it. In answer to that
prayer, and the discovery I made of a hearts desire to move in a greater way in the prophetic gift, God led me to
write another important book that had in fact been developing in my spirit for at least 30 years. That book is
titled - The 2020 Vision of the End Times - and as the title suggests it focuses on some key global changes
that were coming to the world in the year 2020 as we approach the end times. Though many were sceptical about that
message, those prophetic predictions came to pass through the global pandemic and lockdown of 2020.
After the release of this book, in 2023 I was led to go on mission to Uganda, Africa on mission, preaching, and bringing
healing and deliverance to the African people. When I returned from the mission I was then led to go and live in Africa
for two years where I continued with ministry and seeking God. While I was there I met and became engaged to my now fiancé,
I will say more on that and my family history later, but that is how things currently stand for me now.
To complete the list of my literary works, the latest book release in 2026 recounts nearly five decades of prophetic experience
to show what kind of a life of adventure is possible through the gift of prophecy.
It is titled - The Adventure Of Prophecy - and as always it is freely available online.
That is my story in brief on my life so far, in terms of background, working life, and my book releases. I pray and believe
you will be blessed by what God has given me to bring through my writings. Most information can be found on each book by accessing
the - About this Book link attached to each book.
Please feel free to contact me or comment if you wish to give me any feedback on these works, or anything else that is on your mind.
Soon I will set up a Whatsapp group so we can use it for discussion.
FAMILY
Because I know what a battle it is to continue in a ministry, I knew I
needed someone who had some understanding of the battle, and some resilience to fight and resist the devil through prayer and
intercession. What I certainly didn't want was to subject anyone to that kind of demand if they weren't ready for it.
At the moment we are apart, with me in England and her in Uganda, after running into visa issues that forced me to return home.
Thank God we have social media to stay in touch, though what we want and pray for is to be together.
